About the Author

Annette M. Jackson is a first-generation Filipino American author whose writing explores family, identity, grief, resilience, and the lasting impact of generational trauma. She is the author of two children’s books and the forthcoming novel From Ashes, a multigenerational family saga spanning World War II-era Philippines, Martial Law during the Marcos Era, and present-day America. Drawing inspiration from her Filipino heritage and family history, Jackson writes her character-driven story that examines the complex bonds between mothers, daughters, and generations separated by time.

Annette spent more than fifteen years working in real estate before pursuing writing full time. Originally from Chicago, she now lives in San Diego with her husband Lorne (a retired US Navy Chief) and their three dogs.
